We organized an All island speech competition to promote this year world's suicidal prevention day and the topic was " Suicide Prevention is Everyone's Responsibility". Initial contests were held in many towns of the seven provinces. We had the final contest and prize giving on 10th September in Colombo and 1,500 participants were there including school children, Teachers, Parents, Civil Security Departments, Nurses, Academical staff and the guests. Keynote address done by the Prof. Carlo Fonseka, a renowned academic.
